Well, its that time again! We are a misfit general contracting crew that are looking for the marble in the oatmeal to join our team. Ideally these are long term positions with upside potential as we are growing and expanding in the Roanoke area.
We have two positions we would like to fill:
Buffalo wing (lead carpenter), and mild flavored chicken wing (not totally raw, but not yet spicy either). You decide where you land by using the flow chart below.
Ideal candidate for Buffalo wing (lead carpenter) would be familiar with all phases of the building process, basic tools, and yes - a good attitude. I am not saying you need to be an expert, but you should have a good understanding of most things that bring a job from start to finish, how they affect each other, and how to do them. This requires attention to detail and minimum oversight. Common sense should be common. Pay for this position is $25-$30 starting out. We could go up or down here. Not you? Mild chicken wing. This is a little more open to interpretation. We are looking for someone that would like to learn to hone their skills. Ideally you have progressed from broom operator and can cut wood into smaller wood, but not ready for the big top. We would consider raw with very good attitude and excellent problem solving skills. Even if you are building a space station (we do not), it takes logic and common sense. Pay for this position is in the $18-$22 range to start.
Ideal candidate for both have a good ‘can do’ attitude, integrity, a vehicle that you do not share with your mom, and something good outside of work going on in their life. Something you are passionate about, a dream, or things you have done that require more than a 30 second conversation. Bonus points if you ride a motorcycle for pleasure. Possible points off if it is a harley.
