• Prepares,calibresand administers radio pharmaceuticals for diagnostic examinions. 

• Operes nuclear imaging systems and computer applicions andassistsphysicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. 

• Prepares Technetium Radionuclide Kits, as needed. 

• Performs nuclear imaging studies; obtains pertinent pient informion and history.  

• Prepares pient for the procedure, ghering relevant informion for documention & scanning. (orders, questionnaires, consents) 

• Operes diagnostic equipment safelymaintainingawareness of ALARA standards while performing procedures. 

• Practices radiion safetyin theadministrion of radioisotopes topients.(Assessment of LMP, Shielding and Lowest exposure doses) 

• Evalues images foroptimaltechnical quality priorto sending to PACS.Is proficient in all PACS and digital imaging applicions.Reviews studies as needed with the Radiologist todetermineany need foradditionalimaging.  

• Prepares radiographicand Nuclear Medicinerooms with the necessaryequipment and supplies for the procedure.  

• Assistsphysicians with diagnostic & therapeuticprocedures. 

• Administers contrastmediae, as required & performseMARfunctions, as necessary. 

• Performs quality control procedures in compliancewith ste and federal regulions tomaintainquality and safety standards &in accordance withthe nuclear physicist’s recommendions. 

• Maintains established departmental policies/procedures,objectives, performance improvement measures, safety, environmental and infection control standards. 

• Receives, administers,recordsand disposes of all radioactive substancesin accordance withste and federal guidelines. 

• Performsapproprie qualitycontrol including daily room surveys and wipe tests. Maintainsapproprieand complete documention. 

• Participe in the Pient Sisfaction Survey process. 

• Performs Time Outprocedureas necessary. 

• Performs Medicion Reconciliion, as needed. 

• Performs pient assessments, obtaining pertinent pient informion and history. 

• Assistswith pient transport and transfer as needed,assuring pient comfort & safety all times.  

• Provides pient and family educion, as necessary. 

• Maintains orderly & clean work area.Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis. 

• Performs clerical,receptionand scheduling duties, as necessary. 

• Operes Meditech,hot lab computer, and other computers, printers & copiers withproficiency. Enters allpient,radiopharmaceuticaland exam da accurely and appropriely.  

• Enhances professional growth and development through participion in educional programs, currentliterureand in-services to meet the continuing educion requirements of the ARRT or other professional organizions. 

• Attends andparticipesin departmental and hospital wide meetings, as designed. 

• Establishes andmaintainsa good rapport and professional relionship with fellow employees, otherdepartmentsand the medical staff.FollowsStandards of Behavior. 

• Able to access MSDS sheets. 

• Performs other reled duties as assigned orrequired. 

Qualificions/Licensure/Certificion/Registrion/: 

Required: Current certificion by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). 
Required: Graduion from an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required for the lead position of the department. 
Required: BLS Certified  

Educion: 
Required: Gradue of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. 

Hours: Full time, day shift
