$3299! No Texts! 1985 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER VELOCE. Over $7000 invetsed. A Rare Classic Car a Real Head-Turner. I had fun working on it with a lot of help from online Alfa forum (BBALFA). Now it's time to hand it over to somebody else. Was running 2022 (drove up and down Little Creek Hwy a few times (at end of 2021). It stopped regularly starting in March 2022 (it turns over fine catches a bit but doesn't continue). A work in progress, no time now. The first pic was taken 1+ years ago after i touched up the exterior.
The power windows work, I've kept them down because it was easier when I working on it, but I have put them up. Got in 2000 locally w recent new transmission / rebuild (have original casing). when I purchased the vehicle the seller told me it may need a head gasket since he experienced it running hot. Anyway, I determined what the previous owner was experiencing may have been the need to retighten the head bolts as it exhibited a classic symptom of coolant pooling in the middle two sparkplug wells. I attempted to retighten the head bolts (according to what I found online) and although it improved the symptom it did not solve it. Has roll-bar (removed). Top is good, Interior is good, original carpet and seats. Dashboard has cracks. Package tray redone. New stereo (not installed) and new spealers in rear (installed), have new front lower speakers. Recent Work Done: New Calipers (4 - have original), New Shocks (4), New Front Spring Pans, New Rear Springs, New Brake Pads (F and R), New Steering Wheel (have original), New Limitng Straps (I messed up removing one of the bolts so I Mickey Moused it with an 'L' bracket attached to the frame. Ideally, the threads could be redone, maybe, or I was going to have the proper bolt welded) , New Gas Tank (have original), New 'RADAR' V Rated Whitewalls (road force balanced), Floor Rust Repaired, Trunk Spare Wheel Well Repaired (only for mini spare now). I dont know how to weld, so all the sheet metal, etc., repairs I did were done with steel rivets, screws, and adhesive. As a result, one of the brake lines got punctured and was replaced but the brakes need to be bled. Have lots of parts, manual(s), reciepts, etc. Call 9am - 7pm, talk to me/lv msg, see, buy, trailer it away. In Dublin, VA 24084.
